Rooms usually have two single beds, basic bedding, and blankets. They provide pillows and mattresses, but bring a sleeping bag for warmth and comfort. The bathroom is shared and basic. You get limited hot water with extra fees.

The dining hall is heated with a wood or yak-dung stove in the evenings and is communal. You can eat Nepali and Tibetan dishes like dal bhaat, noodles, soups, and momo. Some teahouses also offer basic Western meals like pasta.
